Thirty-seven years have passed—from Dalian to Shanghai, from a single paintbrush to a cultural kingdom. We have always believed that good stories transcend borders, and great animation can move the world.
Back in 1988, China's animation industry was still in its infancy. Yet we were convinced that Eastern stories deserve to be told in a language the whole world understands.
From The New Adventures of Afanti taking the international stage, to Mice on the Grassland pioneering China's first 52-episode animated series; from the Sino-American co-production Marco Polo Returns to the Fragrant City winning the Cairo International Gold Award, to Grigrigri the Little Cricket receiving the national "Original Power" award—every step has been the fruit of our team's dedication, and every frame carries our unwavering pursuit of quality.
Stories Connect the World
Today, Afanti Pictures has grown into a comprehensive cultural enterprise spanning film and television production, publishing and distribution, brand licensing, and cultural tourism. With 37 years of Sino-American co-production experience, we have earned more than 30 major domestic and international awards and created multiple beloved classic IPs.
Looking ahead, we will continue to deepen our original content and broaden our global vision. Afanti Cultural Tourism—with Afanti, the UNESCO commemorated figure, as its soul—is planning and building world-class rural resort and other immersive cultural experience projects. We look forward to joining hands with more like-minded partners to write a new chapter of Chinese culture going global.
